Why to tailor your resume for each role (and how to do it in 10 minutes)
A generic resume can hide relevant experience. Tailoring helps highlight what genuinely matches the role.
Take the job description and highlight the 5–7 terms that appear most often. Those are your targets.
Adjust three things: the target title at the top, the summary (2 lines using two of those terms), and the bullet order inside each role (most relevant first).
Don't invent experience you don't have. Reframe real skills so they line up with the posting's vocabulary.
Jornatta's job analyzer does this automatically — paste the posting and it shows what's missing plus rewrite suggestions.
